My year in review
My first year is almost over... MY FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE IS OVER IN A WEEK. I cannot comprehend how quickly this year went. So much has happened in one year that it somehow feels like it has been a combination of three months and three years. I still remember moving in. My mom and I had to wait in traffic for 45 minutes on a road that should have taken us thirty seconds to drive up to my dorm. I remember meeting my roommates for the first time. I still remember trying to casually look at the map on my phone as I tried to make my way to Old Chem. I still remember my crippling fear of going through sorority recruitment and then the sigh of relief when I got a bid. I remember finding out who my big is and how accepted I felt when I was initiated as a woman of Pi Beta Phi. I remember my first water polo practice and constantly telling myself that I was going to quit but then somehow going to the last tournament not wanting it to end. I remember my first college finals week and the nights spent without sleep. But most importantly, I will remember the amazing opportunities I have been given and the incredible friends I have made. During my first year of college, I have become a confident, young woman who is no longer unsure about her future, but instead is unable to contain her excitement about what the future holds for her.
